Hey guys, just a quick question please. Do i have to reinstall my Catalyst Control Center when installing a new gaphics card? Because i have my current card overclocked etc... Or will the new install drivers and software update it?

Thanks

I have never done it before... so take what I say with pinch of salt, but personally, I would unistall all drivers, remove card from pc, boot up, delete all folders to do with the the previous drivers, install fresh drivers, reboot.

Hmm seems logical to do this in this way, anyone else with a 100% positive idea on what to do here?

i've been told reinstall new drivers when installing a new card. i make sure i reboot my pc as well after new install..... im guessing its so the new hardware is recognised from the old. i reboot when installing patches or mods aswell

Upgraded an nvidia card a while back and had massive problems from just switching the cards without uninstalling the drivers first ^^

I believe you should be okay if it's the same make of card, i.e ATI to ATI, but you might want to reinstall drivers to play it safe.

Thanks for the replies here guys, completely forgot about this thread! I'll leave CCC in and hopefully it will recognise the new card.
