my monitor supports 50hz but windows and my hd5770 is set to 60hz and cant detect my monitor.my graphic card has been crashing frequently in games. is there a driver file or something i can get to set to 50hz?

Can you get the specific driver for your monitor, can't you just select 50hz (custom revolution) refresh rate?

Enable VSync in games to sync fresh rate to that of your monitor?
