REFURB H100 - STOPS AT RANDOM

Never fancied these and read many here with issue on them in a thread about the refurbs,

Too dodgy to mess with liquids inside a PC to save a few £ not buying new IMO.

Try using Corsair Link 2 and see if you have any control over that. I use link for my H100i and FanXpert2 for my case fans, works perfectly :)

Note: If you are using Windows 8/8.1, you will need to edit the registry to see the H100 fans & pump in Link.

The link is up and running but I see no method of setting a fan profile. FE 2 does not recognise my H100.

Any value in reinstalling FE2? see what happens?

On W7 by the way.

Yeah, mine doesn't either.

Can you see your H100i in Link?

If you can, select the fan on the left and on the right set a profile. Not sure if it would help, but you get some form of control!

No I can't.

Under system tab i see 2500k

Under groups tab i see a fan, but for my gpu at the the side of 2500k avg temp (but no fan at the side of HD Radeon 7800 core)

Graph tab - nothing whatsoever, power tab ditto.

It's recording temp for 2500k, no mention of h100, no graph, no fan profile set up (unless it;s for GPU which I don't need)

H100 or H100i? Seems a bit of confusion in this thread.

Corsair Link software won't see a H100 unless it's connected through something like the Link Commander. Also if it IS the H100, double check the bios for fan speed control, turn it off for whatever header you're using for the pump.

If it's the H100i you may be running firmware that's too early for the CL software to 'see' it. Try updating the firmware with an earlier version of the CL software.

*edit*

Saw your thread on the Corsair forums. We'll try and get you sorted here cos there's a lot of angry opinions over there to get in the way of a resolution.

It is H100.

I'll check BIOS I cannot remember changing a setting for fan control.

I can't update the frimware, I have no firmware file, I have tried via Corsair link.

Sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about here.
