any one on this here help me out please

I need another laptop as the kids are now using the one we have for home work so much its crazy.....

No point in just getting a cheap low spec one as if they are using this one then i might be on the spare one encoding a dvd or something

was thinking along the lines of a E6420(about £170) or E6320(£200ish) as they are both running 2nd gen i5's i believe? Both i can stick a ssd in that i already have and buy 8gb ram etc.

think the only difference is the screen size?

Anything else i should be looking at as the refurb world of laptops is mind blowing.............????

thanks

I have a second hand Lenovo X230 and it really is a nice little laptop. It runs on a 3rd gen i5 CPU and Intel HD4000 graphics. Added an SSD and 16GB memory, but it plays most games I throw at it (on low) when I am out and about and when I'm at home it's a nice little portable. It's a 12.5 Inch though so might be a tad small depending on what you want. For me it's great.

Base systems with 4GB RAM and a 320GB disk set you back roughly £200 odd.

Have an E6420 which will hit 4 years in December, thing has been bombproof and I've definitely battered the poor thing. Had SSD in it for over a year now along with 8GB RAM and it's flying for everyday task and can even do a little gaming as mine has the Quadro graphics card.

went for a dell 6320 with backlit keyboard and fingerprint sensor.....got it for £120 then bought another one but with extended battery and 3g card in for £160...........

will decide on which ones best and sell the other.........

really fancied the backlit keyboard lol.

was thinking of a x230 but couldnt get one for a good price:(
