Has anyone here got a refurb macbook from the apple site. Are they packed as new and got films back on screen etc, Or are they just packed as like they been returned?

Just dont know whether to go for brand new one or get a refurb

AFAIK, refurb apple items will meet the same quality and standards as a new ones but are cheaper because they are now "opened" and/or parts are changed due to faults e.g. HDD, screen, e.t.c.

If the price is significantly cheaper for your pocket, get the refurb one.

I got a refurb Macbook Pro last year. Came in a plain brown box, rather than the usual fancy packaging. There was no protective film on the screen, but the laptop was wrapped in protective covering to prevent scratches etc.

The macbook itself was in 'as new' condition, so as long as you're not bothered about the packaging I'd definitely recommend getting one.
