why is it that some macbooks are priced higher than others when they are the same spec or roughly the same spec due to the hard drive being 40GB less or 1GB of ram less?

like in some cases you can find the same model being £200 less because 1 GB of ram less?

Is this down to the quality being the scratches and marks or is it just down to the spec and model?

Ok thats good, im planning on buying my first mac and i want the black model, when i saw one for £600 i was shocked as its only missing 1GB from buying a new one from the store thats a saving of like £300!

yea it is! looks like i missed that as its gone now but ive seen 2 of these at the same spec priced at £600 before so im sure they will turn up again

yea thats the 2nd highest, they added like 6 this morning and 2 were black that is one of the black ones but there was one up there for £600.

Same with a iMac there was a 20" going for £70 if thats a good price?

not sure if i should buy a macbook atm thou, i was going to hold off till the next announcements in like may aint it?

im guessing OLED displays, processor upgrades and muti touch pads coming

maybe even new drives being blu ray but who knows

My macbook was a refurb, few coloured spots of what looks like paint on the underside. Think they could be scratched off but haven't got round to it yet. Just a reminder that refurbs 'may exhibit cosmetic imperfections' - it does say it on the apple site.

If you are unhappy you can return under the Distance Selling Act :)

Well, picked it up from the UPS depot last night. I have to say i was prepared for the worst but its actually in immaculate condition. No marks/scuffs or anything. The power adapter is the only thing that looks used (marks down the wires) but it came with a new sealed vga adapter and sealed apple remote. It also came pre-installed with Leopard.

I dont think its bad value for £1049.

I just have to figure out how to use it now. Especially as i cant find the Home or End Keys.
