I sent my faulty iPhone 3GS off to Vodafone after having signal issues.

I had a text off them saying the phone is ready for collection, so I went down to the store, they said they couldn't fix the problem, so they have given me a refurbished iPhone.

Have I been given a bum deal over this, as I thought if they couldn't fix it they should replace me with a new phone??

not a bum deal

isnt the warranty only normally a year ? the 'refiurb' will be better condition than the phone youve used for 15 months and it will work

i dont see what could be bad about that ?

I wasn't sure what 'refurb' actually ment with the phone, was just checking it wasn't 3rd hand, and had been used and abused.

They are normally a phone that has made it back to the manufacturer for whatever reason which then has its outer case replaced and probably the battery as well along with any bits that had gone wrong giving you basically a brand new phone.
