It might have some cosmetic marks on it but if it is advertised "as new" then it should work perfectly and be cleaned to a very high standard. You probably will get a fairly short warranty though.

Some places only offer 14/28 day warrenties. I have had luck with B-grade stock before though I do know some horror stories. I generally take risks if I can save a lot of money and it's not a very important (replacable) computer part. If it's important I'd prefer the full warranty should anything go wrong.

the part is a dell 20" widescreen found on a bidding site for around £150 less than its priced it is on here

"This TFT is has been Refurbished By Dell - Sold with Dells Next Day Business Exchange Warranty valid until September 2009"

"This TFT has been Refurbished To New by Dell. The screen will be in mint condition, there will be no scratches, dents or scuff marks. The TFT is in A1 conditon."

this is what they say

I`ve got a refurbished Dell laptop. The only thing they said was wrong with it was blemishes on the screen but you cant notice these if the desktop background is set to anything other than plain black. Everything else is spot on with it.

Well dell released a series of revisions of the monitors because the earlier ones suffered from banding issues. The latter one not suffering...(A02). To find out you'll need to access the service menu!
