Reg cleaning and startup tweaking - How safe is Regseeker?

I've downloaded regseeker and told it to scan the registry of my PC and it's found over 2,100 entries. My OS build is a couple of years old. How good is regseeker? How easy it is to restore things it backs up?

Also, I seem to remember a program which examines all startup entries and has a database of what things are, giving a list of what's good to remove. It did the same for running processes IIRC. Anyone know what it could be?

Do you trust it explicitly when doing a full registry scan? Lots of green and red entries?
