Hi

tried this and after 30 mins it is still running with over 6000 errors. Can this be as I have only just reintalled vista 64 bit, MS Office and video editing software..

Any advice?

6000 does seem like a lot. What cpu are you running if its taking 30 mins and longer?

Try RegSeeker and CCleaner and see how many "errors" they find.
