Hi There,

Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction, currently trying to replace certain characters with a null string from a given string using regexp but unfortunately it's also replacing new line characters which I don't want it to do.

Here's the regexp string I'm using:

/[\/\`\\\"\'\;\:\|\=\>\<]/

I'm using javascript to do the replace.

Thanks in advance,
Antar.

It's weird, I checked it on jsfiddle and it's working exactly as expected. I'll have a dig around and see if there's something in the code causing it but it's pretty straight forward, grab text from text area, remove illegal characters, return text to text area.
