Hi there

Im from Devon and have phrases that most people dont understand or they just laugh at me and take the mick like 'wheres it to', 'where it be bey' 'get on bey' and stuff like that LOL

does anyone else say any weird things in general conversation?

Sure, I tend to tell complete strangers about the frilly pink panties I'm wearing. Completely no need for it, but it's good to throw people some curve balls now and then.

Potteries dialect here. The funny thing is watching as the look of sheer confusion slowly spreads across someone from outside the areas face as they realise they can't understand what the hell you're on about.

I live in the South West and die a little inside every time somebody says 'Wheres are you to'. I mean how dim must you be to not manage to work out that you can drop the 'to' and it's grammatically correct :p

Why must you make me suffer with all this:

Wheres it to?
Get on bey

Talk, it does my head in...lol

Fox its well hard to stop the 'to' from coming out the mouth!! I cant help it anyway.

I cant say where is it like a normal person, it has to be 'wheres it to'

Do you say get on bey being from Plymouth ??

i dont actually say that suprisingly and ive lived in north devon all my life apart from a year in exeter which is only 45 miles away. I live in the holsworthy area near the cornwall border. It is so quiet here u cant hear anything in the garden a mile off a a road
