regionality or ps2/ps3/xbox360

Sorry if this has been asked before but are PS2 games regional. just id like a good MLB game and there only sold in america, take it i couldnt buy on and play it on my english ps2?

Would this be the same for the ps3 or xbox?

Wouldn't be able to play ps2 one on a English console without fiddling with console. (can't say anymore on here).

Xbox 360 , if the game is region free you can play it.
PS3 , all games are region free i think , so no prob there.
