Registering HOF Problem

Hi, I have a Galax GTX970 HOF card and can't seem to be able to get Nvidia to let me enter the product code and the serial number for registering it. Does the HOF edition not have Nvidia's 'blessing' having been altered too far from the Reference board so not approved? I am trying to enter the two numbers from the box sticker, (repeated on the card circuit board itself), so where am I going wrong? I wouldn't bother but would rather like the Assassins Creed Unity game offered. Does the retailer supply the code numbers or Nvidia: Any help there? Thanks. Regards, Brian.

if u bought from here, log into your oc account, the code for the games should be in there.
tell you code & how to redeem it :)
you should have got game code from oc when they dispatched it, check spam foilder

Thanks for the reply Rab, (I am still boggling at the slick Godfather type avatar I am made to use), No, I bought the card in France as I live there from the company Rue du Commerce. Should they supply the game code at some time and isn't it repeated on the sticker? I tried contacting Nvidia but the email contact address is hidden on their site so well that it is like a quantum physics particle. Just to rub it in the 'Pick your Path choose your game' flyer is at the top of this heading as I type. GASP. Still, the card is whizzing along unseen in it's glamorous white clothes... Regards, Brian.

When did you buy the card? I think the offer for a free game has expired.

Hi Rodt99. 6/1/15. I didn't buy the card for a free game, that's for sure. I needed an upgrade and this fitted the bill being tweaked enough already for my use without soaring temperatures and fan noise. It would have been the icing on the cake to get Unity free but no big deal.

If the resolution and detail is as good as the A.C. Black Flag game where you can see the knot holes and grain in the wooden houses, (I even took the time to go up close to look. must get out more). When you run into somebody they drop their stuff and stumble aside shouting after you, unlike other games where they stiffly move/slide aside like chessmen.

I was looking forward to being in Paris during the Revolution and seeing what it's like squatting on a Gargoyle in the Notre Dame tower. When there some years ago with the kids, I thought it prudent not to show off in front of them so restrained myself.

I am now told by the retailer, Rue du Commerce, that the GALAX GTX970 HOF version is not included in the free offer in any case. This is barmy. It seems that if you buy the cheap Reference version you get the game but paying a big mark up for the Galax tweaked version, you don't! Topsy Turvey. Lewis Carroll would have loved this.

In any event, you are right, the offer is expired, it doesn't help that the banner at the top of this forum heading still advertises the offer.

For information. OCUK say to use Caseking.de for overseas purchase, I have seen their advice several times on the Forums etc. except that Caseking.de does not sell the HOF cards or even any Galax/Galaxy graphic cards anywhere on the website. Can you check this and stop recommending them? I am often wrong, (often), but a search doesn't throw anything up. You may be in partnership with them or owned/company grouped, but this doesn't help.

Rummaging around the web, for anyone living in France, (or Europe), Rue Du Commerce do sell the card for €400 which at todays rate is £310 with free delivery. Free delivery Overclock!

I use OCUK for PC builds, last time for water-cooling, as I like their service and commitment but the price difference is too much this time. Sorry Guys.

The Cheshire Cat sat on the branch....."All right," said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone. "Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin," thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"

I like that. Regards, Brian.
