Okay, me not being that advanced at using a computer, ive heard these registry cleaners can fix problems within your registry and increase your computers performance, (great for me because my computer always slows down within about 3 months of formatting), ive been reading countless reviews and all the websites i read have different views on each cleaner, i would find a few websites saying its very good and top notch software, and i'd get others saying its a scam and it kills your computer. So does anybody here actually have/use a decent registry cleaner, i dont need any other features, just aslong as it gets the job done.

P.S: how do i back up my registry?

Heh, whenever i do a fresh install, i get those messenger pop ups straight away, the ones that says things like WINDOWS HAS BECOME UNSTABLE, FAILURE TO ACT NOW WILL RESULT IN SYSTEM FAILURE.

On a side note, ive now downloaded CCleaner, just a quick question, is this a program you would use on a daily basis? or very regular to clear cache etc, or only like once a week/month or so.

Just ran RegSeeker there myself and took me ages to go through the list to make sure it wasn't picking stuff up that the computer needed. Majority of my crap was file paths no longer there, invalid active x stuff and obsolete stuff i must have got rid of when having tidy ups.

Sorted those out and they are backed up through RegSeeker as i deleted them along the way, also hopefully computer starts quicker got rid of a few startup items i hadnt realised were still on.
