Registry Help

Anyone know of any programs that can fix registry problems but do it from windows start up ie boot up cd. My wifes laptop refuses to start due to a corrupt registry.
Any help is going to be greatly appreciated

What is the exact error message you are presented with on boot?

This method will recover from a corrupt registry from the recovery console

You need ERD commander.

I am sure you could find it on the net (you know what I am saying!)
It creates a bootable CD that runs windows, and has 'fix' tools built in.
I think the latest version is ERD Commander 2005.

The system has been shut down.

Sorry only just got in from work, the original error has changed to this one now. It won't boot in safe mode or from an restore point. help!!!!!!!!!!
