RegSeeker problem

hmm where the hell did that bugger appear from? I've been using Regseeker for years but have never seen that before...Do you have the latest version?

Same here, for what it's worth i'd be inclined to download the latest version and use that instead. It's not as if you have to uninstall or install anything, just download and use.

It got further, scanned my whole C drive, then went to my external and got about half way through the files and gave the error.

Is there any way I can stop it from scanning my external? As there's no need.

Also, is it safe to fix ALL the error it comes out with?

Edit:
Just tried and told it ONLY to scan the registry, not my drives or ActiveX thingys, it came out with the popup error within a second :(

Craig.

If that's the case i think i'd be looking closer to home. Spyware perhaps, or if you're overclocked, is it stable?

No overclock & did 5 different spyware scans earlier ;)

Got me stumped. I've been using it for years and i never had any issues with it. Even though you'r not overclocked, i'd still run Memtest and see if there's any probs on that front.

i always had that with regseeker

it was fine for ages then one time it just didnt work any more give the same exact error, i even posted on here but no one knew

No matter what version or how many i times i uninstalled/reinstalled it didnt fix it

just use a different one mate, i use tuneup now, a lot better as well, far more thorough

p.s this was on an old stock rig with no overclocks on

Hi

I managed to get it to do a full scan by unticking the top option (I forgot which one it was as I'm on the results screen at the moment).

Anyway, it's found 1184 errors, mostly being invalid folders etc etc

Is it alright to remove ALL of these?

I'm sure it won't remove any registrys entries that will stop Windows from booting, so will I just be safe with a backup?

Thanks
Craig.
