Hi guys could do with a little help here.
this is the equipment i use http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-070-DL&groupid=46&catid=248&subcat=&name=D-Link DSL-924 54Mbps ADSL2+ Wireless Starter Kit
the problem is when i game online. every 20seconds or so i will get a connection error lasting approx 5 seconds.
the screen judders back and forth then goes back to when the connection was lost.
pressing certain keys to find my ping shows it at 999 which then goes down to the normal amount.
i've since plugged a network cable in and pulled the dongle out and it all works fine which suggests it's the wireless part of it.
in wireless mode it says signal strength is excellent.
anyone any ideas how to sort this out.

regards

jobe

Could try changing the channel of your router, might be clashing with another nearby network, could try getting a usb extension to bring the dongle up onto the desk if its tucked away in the corner, try new drivers/firmware.

Personally for gaming I would stick with a wired connection anyway.

wired is too untidy due to wires draping around the house.
i'll have a look how to change the channel tho, if i can figure it out.
