Hi,
I am hoping there is a real PC guru out there because I have a really odd one for you.
My rig is:
Ryzen 9 7950X
64Gb DDR5 RAM
nVidia RTX 4090
Latest gen 4Tb SSD
Windows 11
Varjo Aero
The PC has not been overclocked
The BIOS is up to date
The nVidia driver is current
I don't have any PC monitoring software loaded (other than the AMD services)
I have disabled the Xbox Game Bar
Enabling or disabling Geforce Experience / Game overlay makes no difference.
Here is the issue:
Every (and I mean every) 9.5 to 12 minutes I get a split second freeze, then a split second stutter, then a split second freeze then everything returns to normal - This effects the gameplay but not the sound. This happens whether I am in VR in MSFS, or playing Portal 2 or just working in Windows.
While running MSFS, I have opened Task manager, and at the time of the freeze, there is no obvious service running (if there are any appearing the are using <1% of CPU and virtually no memory).
I close any unecessary processes so pretty much nothing is running when I run MSFS
I have enabled / disabled HAGS and Game Mode - no difference.
I have plugged my monitor and Aero into different Display ports - no difference
I have disabled / enabled Nortan AV / Malwarebytes - no difference.
I have disabled / enabled the Ryzen 9 trusted zone - no difference.
I have spent time with nVidia Support / Microsoft Support and Varjo support - all very helpful but no ideas.
Something is causing this stutter but I am stumped.
Has anyone ever come across this before? The fact that it happens between 9.5 and 12 minutes must be hardware related or some strange service surely?
HELP!
