So,

do you lot get regular take away's? if so what? every Friday is take away night for me and my other half.

I would imagine 70% of the time its from our local very nice kebab shops, she has burger and I have a grilled chicken kebab. 20% is pizza and 10% is most others usually curry.

We never ever get Chinese, fried chicken, McDonalds, fish and chips. I usually like a beer on a Friday and curry sauce or hot sauce which dictates.

I would like to try Chinese but along with Indian it just works out so expensive compared to the £12 kebab

I cant remember a Friday without a take away lol.

anybody else do this? or is it just us.

regy,

I've always had a rule. Pizza on Friday, curry or chinese on saturday and sometimes a chinese on Sunday if I dont fancy cooking a roast. Occasionally have a kebab on Fridays.

I never have all of a weekend. At most 2, sometimes just 1. But as far as UK culture goes, Saturday is just synonymous with a few beers and a curry while watching MOTD.

Saturday - Chip Shop, although I'll sometimes mix it up with Pizza Hut or an Indian takeaway.

I do find myself eating a lot more Burger Kings since the King of the Day was introduced though!!

Usually kebab or tandoori mixed grill, once a fortnight usually, on a diet (low carb), unless its like a night, like tonight in which case copiuse pints and mixed donner + chips, cheese & garlic sauce.

When I'm home, Friday night is takeaway night. I try to alternate what type but I probably have pizza more often than anything else.

Saturday night is steak-and-a-bottle-of-wine night.

I dont eat take away anymore, i like to make my own but when i do, ill have a grilled lamb kebab and a beer:D

Sat night (if we are not out).

Chinese, Chicken Kung Po, Fried Rice, Veg Spring Rolls, Chow Mein. £13 delivered in about 20 minutes.

Occasionaly through the week a pizza.

About once a month or so. Usually Indian or Thai, got some excellent restaurants in this end of Edinburgh that deliver. Do tend to be a bit pricey though, £20-30 for a big meal for two.

only time i get takeaway is after working late when it goes on the corporate card, tend to have chinese of some form. Used to have them more regularly, maybe once a month on friday, but these days fridays tend to be meal out with the missus.

I try to base my diet around rather spicy tat.

Usually go for a spicy curry or a filth kebab filled with chili.

Not a big fan on Chinese, so i go kebab, mexican, curry as many at as opportunities as possible.

Not really at home.

Where I work is relatively near Commercial Road and that area though, and one of the guys on my team is related to the guys that run Tayyabs (a rather good Indian round there) so on occasion we'll get him to go and buy a load of stuff when we're on nights, or just something small to scoff with our packed lunches like the kebab rolls they do.

We tend to have Chinese about once a fortnight on average if we have had a busy day and can't be bothered cooking. Its not particularly amazing but it fills a hole when I'm tired and hungry.

My slightly guilty pleasure is a mixed kebab roughly once a month, however its not your average donner as they do proper donner, chicken shawarma, kobida, lamb and chicken tikka which is all cooked in the tandoor in front of your eyes. Even the naan bread is to die for as you watch them cook that in the tandoor right in front of you.
