I've reheated rice my whole life without any problems. I think so long as you get it in the fridge soon after cooking, ie don't have it sat around at room temp for ages then you're good to go.

Quite correct - common thing from what I hear.The rice you eat with your Chinese takeaway is always made the day before, (stored in the fridge) then reheated.
