I normally reinstall every few months, and it's about that time. Get rid of some of the clutter etc...

I have Firefox backed up (preferences, bookmarks, extensions)
Premiere pro backed up (preferences)
Outlook backed up (Rules, accounts, folders)
Save games backed up

Am i missing anything that you guys know of?

I normally forget something, but i believe that's all i have.

Sound good?

Documents, photos (especially if you use software from the camera manufacturer that saves in a non standard location). Any downloads.

My "must check" backup list is essentially

Use Mozbackup on Firefox + Thunderbird
Check none of my apps have saved anything somewhere daft that I want to keep
Double check my redirected My docs contains everything and nothing has saved into the default my docs folder

Time to wipe!

Not my one.

Had my bro send it to me (he's a network manager for a council and recieved it. It's just got professional on it and thats all.)

The disc contains all the versions (so you can upgrade using Anytime). There's a config file that indicates which is the default version.

Depending on the licensing they're on your Bro shouldn't be handing out the discs.

Hmm people still reinstall every few months? :D

Messy rooms (desktop thread) and Messy OSes...oh man!

I don't. Still have my old P4 machine with an XP install from 2002 on it ticking over as spare. Never needed to re-install in the 4 years of it being a main machine. Mac laptop that replaced it is also still running on the original OS install from the factory (although cloned to a bigger HDD and since upgraded to Leopard).
