reinstall windows 7 ultimate

hi all,

im upgrading motherboard/processor/ssd windows operating drive.

im going to reinstall windows can i activate it using original product key.

If your windows is a retail version then yes
If its OEM then I think its tied to the first motherboard it was
installed with.
maybe someone knows different.

Only if it’s the retail version, as the OEM version is tied to the first motherboard you activated on!

Just to clear things up.

You can activate a OEM licence to diffrent motherboards, i have had to do this a lot of times.

In all types of machines, a branded machine or a OEM disk copy.

Yup.

Breaks Microsoft's EULA but it works fine.
