Reinstall XP-No need to activate?

Some helpful preson posted a while back a file you could take from your system folder before you rebuilt your PC, so you could put it back when its rebuilt so you wouldnt have to activate, does anyone remember what file it was?

You would only want to do is if your version copy of XP was illegal... or damn lazy

So long as your copy of XP is legitimate you will never have more trouble than a short, free phone call to activate your operating system, so I'm going to leave this unanswered owing to my first point.
