Reinstalled windows, wireless card not working

Hello there, so I've reinstalled windows xp pro SP2. When I plug in my USB Wireless thing, the computer does not recognise it. And when I want to connect to a wireless network the screens that are on my laptops that make it simple are not there.

I thought this was the version with all the nice wireless things included, is there some kind of update I need?

What USB wireless card do you have? You have reinstalled the drives for it haven't you?

Yes, just realized, I thought it would work just by plugging it in.
