Hey guys,

need a bit of help. I bought a new radio head unit for my 206 about a year ago from Halfords, they installed it as it was a "in with the price" sort of thing. However, I now need to put my old radio in as part xchanging the car at the weekend. I've scoured the internet for a guide but can't find any! Can anyone explain what I need to do to put the old one back in. I remember with the new JVC one, when the car was turned off the radio reset itself so they needed to swap wires over to keep charge from the battery going to the radio. I presume I need to swap these back for the old one but don't have a clue which wires they swapped.

Cheers!

All you need to worry about is the removal of the current unit.

Halfords would (hopefully) have fitted a harness wiring kit which plugs into the cars wiring then into the radios so they then match. The OEM Peugeot (Clarion) unit won't need this harness so you can remove that and just plug it directly into the car.

If the unit is your old one from your car, you'll be fine. If it's from another 206 it might need the anti-theft recoding to your car at Peugeot.

nope its the same one that got pulled out a year ago. So it's just a case of disconnecting the harness and plugging the cable into the back of my radio?
