Hi all,

I decided to reinstall Windows but every time I complete an install it adds a boot-up version of Windows 10 to select. So now I have 3(tried installing it twice) Windows 10 options to boot from, only one works.

During the install it doesn't ask for network details like password even though I formatted C: before Windows, which is odd.

I have other drives but how would these affect a Windows 10 install on C:?

Completely baffled.

Any help appreciated!

You should be able to delete the rogue start ups from the boot menu. Click start and type MSCONFIG and click the link. Click the boot tab and delete the rogue startups.

Did you delete the 500mb odd partition? That's the actual boot partition and will hold the boot details, including old Windows installs. Formatting C alone is not enough. As above, msconfig should be able to fix it.

When you get to the part where it asks "where do you want install windows", delete all partitions so you are left with something like "Drive 0 Unallocated Space" showing whatever size your drive is (ie 250GB). Click Next and it should then install and create any partitions it needs.

Also, disconect any other hard drives before you start.
