I have 2 hard drives in my PC.

(c) 500gb for windows.
1TB for media.

the boot file is on the 1TB drive but it's not an issue as
i've just selected in Bios to use this drive to boot into windows.

If i pop my windows 7 disc in to do a re-install will i have issues
because this boot file is on a different drive?

in a worse case scenario when i do a reinstall and windows puts a "new" boot ini on the correct drive (500gig drive) will it be a problem having two boot files on seperate drives?

I know you guys would disconnect the media drive whilst doing an install but i wouldnt even know how do it and i'd prefer not to open the case up.

cheers.

what is wrong with you? surely the side of your case isn't held on by more than 2 screws. even my cheap ass case has thumb screws so i don't even need a screw driver. the drive will have 2 cables (sata and power) going into it. you only need to disconnect one of them - when the machine is powered off. :p

ok boss lol.

Will have two MBR's, one on the 1tb drive and one on the drive which is having a new install put onto show up at post and ask you which version of Windows you want.
