Hi all, my 60GB ssd is finally looking a bit pokey so im going to be upgrading it to either a 120/240GB ssd.

Ive never handled an ssd before, ocuk build this machine for me (thanks) are they just as simple as normal hard drives to remove and install?

Secondly as its been some time since i did this i cant remeber how i go about reinstalling windows.

Is it the following,

Plug in new drive,
Put in Win 7 disk,
Boot from DVD,
Pick install options from there,

Do you need to do anything about installing drivers for Mobos, on board sound and network adapters etc?

Thanks all in advance
Brian

You got it all right there.

You will find drivers for your network adapter on your motherboard CD, the rest you can get updated from the manufacturer's website. Or you could download the drivers onto a USB stick before installing new SSD.

If you've got other hdds in your system for games etc make sure to unplug them before you install Windows.

Then replug them back in once your up and running.
