Reinstalling Windows to a new drive?

Hi guys, I have a question that I need answering. I have ordered some new parts that should arrive today, including both a new motherboard and an SSD. My question is, would I be able to install my copy of Windows 7 ultimate to the SSD and use the same key that I am already using? Or will it be really picky and tell me to buy a new copy?

I hope that's not the case ><
Thanks in advance!
Gary

As long as you still have the installation discs for Windows, you'l be fine. You can only use that key to reinstall windows, but im pretty sure you can only have it active on 1 machice, so you'd have to uninstall it from the current HD, then reinstall on the new SSD.

You be fine installing Windows on your new SSD using the original license key. But this may fail activation and say this key is already in use, just go through and use the automatic telephone service to activate.
