Hi guys,

Just helping redecorate an en-suite bathroom and one of the minor issues is a mirror that has had the edges on it rusted.

I was thinking of buying some sort of seal that could go around the edge of the mirror and cover it up but I'm not having much luck. Has anyone done anything like this or got any suggestions? It seems a bit ridiculous replacing it if I can spruce it up a bit.

Thanks :)

Difficult to say without seeing pictures. Off the top of my head, options would be...

1) Replace it, mirrors aren't that expensive unless it's huge
2) Wire wool it and then give it a coat of paint
3) Make a Deox-C paste and try to just remove the rust - likelihood is though that the finish will be in poor shape now so you'll still have to cover it with paint or similar.
4) Make a wooden frame

Thanks for the response.

I think we will just have to replace it. It seems silly that there isn't a better way of being able to do this. Thanks for the options though!
