So I'm not a new user but want to protect my identity.

Wondering if anyone can offer any advice of words of wisdom.

I am a happily married man of 10 years with 2 children.

During lockdown we've been using our personal mobiles at work for communication when not directly related to work stuff.

I have been messaging with a female colleague quote regular mostly bitching about the company or bosses etc. With some general chit chat in between. (Work chat and emails are monitored)

In my eyes this is all above board except one text which I meant in a friendly matter where I said "what's a pretty girl like you upto this weekend?" Which admittedly I shouldn't have said and it wasn't meant in any untoward way. It was just a friendly question.

Wife seen this and has gone mental. Which I think is a natural reaction and I can understand her view point but like I said it wasn't meant in any fishy or dodgy way. None of the rest of the conversations would ellude to the fact.

The Mrs says I'm flirting and have disrespected her.

I'm just lost for words. I feel physically sick and I'm not sure how to undo or prove to her that it wasn't meant as anything more than a question.

Anyone have any advice, it would be massively appreciated.

I know this is GD and I can imagine some of the comments already but I'm hoping someone will take me seriously.
