Relaxing my timings to improve stability.

Hi guys,

I'm currently using a E2160 @ 3 GHz with enough volts and other settings to run it happily in Windows 24/7 without a problem. However, I'm still having startup problems...

Every now and then my machine fails to start up; the mobo reverts to its default settings and I have to manually change them back :(

It doesn’t do it every time, just every now and then? It's annoying though because I know the setup is stable - in Windows anyway.

A friend today suggested that I rule the memory out of the equation: I have 2GB (2x 1GB) sticks of PC5300 Crucial Ballistix.

I've the memory on manual settings, but they're now on auto.

Can anyone suggest some 'relaxed' settings that might be worth trying out?

Cheer,

SW.

They look relaxed enough to me.
I have the same RAM in my system - 400x9FSB, 1:1 and 4-4-4-12 stable RAM.
Have you setup the voltages for your RAM (2.2v)?

What voltage have you got running through your chip and Northbridge?

The settings pictured are the bios's 'auto' ones. So you think they're okay?

Atm I've only got 2.1v through the ram, the cpu has got 1.375v going through it, the FSB has +0.1v and the MCH has +0.2v.

Cheers,

SW.
