Hi all,

I just got a 12v 40A relay to use to turn on my second power supply, the Relay has an SPCO pin config, I have no idea about relays and this one has 5 pins, Anyone have any idea's where i need to put the 12 volt in cables (on a molex attched to other PSU) and where to put the signal cable from the 2nd power supply?

Thanks

Theres a short guide in this months CustomPC "You need to find two pins to connect to the 12V connectors on the molex, so look for the picture of a rectangle with an angled line through it, in this case, it's pins 85 & 86"

He speaketh the truth. Car relay was it? And the signal cable goes on the Normally open so when the magnetic coil on the relay is activated it becomes closed and makes the circuit. (87 & 30?) shown as an open circuit.

yeh this is what i am running from, and i purchased the Relay from the shop that CustomPC advised although it has no picture on top of it at all so im sort of stabbing in the dark.

the only thing i can think of is just guessing but that could become dangerous.
