Does anyone else notice that it's particularly bad this year? The same happened with GDPR about half a year ago. What purpose did that serve? Naff all. The same marketing emails still come in and half of the net is plastered with cookie / GDPR warnings, so the whole exercise has come across as counter-productive imo. Even worse that small parts of the net is out of bounds because of GDPR.

Ok I don't mind the YouTube ones as they're just comments but I could do without the rest. It's almost daily! What do you guys do with these other than the daily delete routine? Manually unsub from each one? I tried that with Argos, but before long, the marketing emails started creeping back in again.

Most European-based businesses are ok now - not all but most. I delete the emails from the better ones that I want to stay subscribed to, and unsubscribe / junk the remainder.

Email is becoming less and less relevant for me - fast becoming just a confirmation channel for something I've already done elsewhere.

It seems almost desperate this year compared to previous ones - I've had a lot more follow-up stuff - fortunately I keep my inboxes fairly well managed and a lot goes straight to spam or easy to file. I suspect that it seems even more than ever this year a lot of the deals are tat that has been overpriced most of the year and now at actual values for its worth but most people are looking for actual deals and not tat - hence the increased amount of spam as they try to drive up sales.

I got about 0, as mentioned there is an unsubsribe option and block option so this stuff does not reach you in the 1st place, your own fault

TBH some of these I find the occasional mailshot useful or I wouldn't be subscribed to them - but a lot of places seem to be pushing Black Friday to the nth degree this year.

Gmail is pretty good at filtering out spam emails and I also unsubcribe to anything that manages to get through.

I've noticed a lot more advertising this year but personally I've never bought anything on black Friday or cyber Monday. Deals are not deals if they are similarly priced at other times of the year!

This is what marking as junk is for, I’ve had mail from all you list and more but had to go looking in my junk folder to find them!
