Relentless WoW crashing

So since patch 8.3 I've been seeing a lot about WoW crashes going around and wondered if anyone here has been having any problems - and what sort of problems?

A lot of what I've seen is memory leaks/spikes and freezing. I've been getting a lot of crashes recently, but no spikes, no freezing, just a flat out Memory Violation crash. I'm trying to figure out if it's the game or my RAM as I've had new ram since late December (16gb Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3000mhz) and got it running at 3200mhz. So far I don't think I've had any memory issues outside of wow since lowering to 3200mhz...
 
I remember back in the day wow didn't respond well to overclocking on some hardware. Other games were stable but wow would crash. Don't know why.
 
First thing I would do is remove the ram overlock and see if that sorts the issue out.

some games can be fine with it but then the odd one will refuse to run properly with it
