Relocating to bedford

Have got a new job in bedford

we'll be renting so are flexible about where we can settle. What areas should i avoid and where's nice.

Nowhere near bedford... Stinking miserable hole of a place :P Try one of the villages but not on the south side as its full of landfill sites . Personally i would look at Barton Le Clay or around that area .

Personally if you don't mind a bit of travel each day, its around 23 miles from wootton - Northampton to Bedford...

Northampton has some nicer places, Grange Park, Wootton, Wootton Fields and all fairly close to the A45, that goes to the A428, right into bedford...

Or, Newport Pagnell, I think thats slighty closer by, but the route into Bedford isn't quite so direct, its off the A508 and some B or less major A road I think...

Bedford isn't that good...

Olney is nice... That's just a short trip to the A428. That is a really nice village, some fantastic places to eat there... Bit expensive to rent though.. Or Levendon... That's also nice, and even closer to Bedford... And a bit further down, Yardley Hastings, and thats between Northampton and Bedford, again A428.
 
If you must work in Bedford then live outside it, there are some great villages as has been said, we live in one just a few miles south of Bedford.
 
Stay away from Poddington if you like your quiet at the weekend. Drag racing at Santa Pod might disturb you :D
