Dorry for my recent absence, I had a HDD fail which took windows with it... and then I tried to RMA it, but they emailed the information to me... so I've bought a new drive.
I would have thought that an Onkyo or Pioneer tuner/amp would work anywhere in the world... what's the standard frequency range for FM anyway?
Here it does from ~88MHz to ~110MHz. I would have thought that any radio can pick up signals in between.
Thanks for the advice... at the moment we're looking at wherever the work is. I have no idea where the centres for analytical chemistry are, so don't know where we might be. We probably won't buy for five years or so - global property markets have peaked in my opinion, and we'll wait for another trough before buying back in. Anyway renting will give us a little more freedom until we're sure that we're happy with the area and job(s).
At the moment we're looking at arriving in early December, living with relatives over Christmas, then into job-hunting propper in the new year.
Well... they're all made in Japan or China anyway these days so that's probably a moot point.D4VE said:Well, I dont think you could use a radio here that was made in Australia.

If you can live a little futher out then you do save a lot of money when you buy a house.
Look at places with good rail+road connections - compare rent/buying prices of property on Rightmove.co.uk![]()
