Remap questions

Im looking at getting my Astra H 1.7 Cdti remapped its running fine etc but power in third gear 30-60 really isnt there enough for me

I know it will be nothing like my petrol car but im trying to bring it closer together really.

Ill be paying 225 for my remap at a local (ish) place who will also dyno it heard many good reviews on them but im looking between this and a DTUK box. Im unsure what to go for and why obviously a DTUK box is more changeable but im not after power only for a remap i want Power/economy but with more power through the entire range not just the top end.

Advice on what to do? Can't and won't sell it and upgrade either haha

I won't be ever putting it back to standard it will either keep going until im bored and sell as is or till it breaks and gets broken for parts

Don't know if its worth spending the extra 115 for a DTUK box for what could be less results
(129bhp tuned on box vs 140bhp(safe) or 150bhp(maxed out) by remap) I know i could resell it but unsure

Please explain. I don't want to go messing with what i don't really know as iv heard some horror stories of people turning cars into paperweights messing with the ECU

Its a bargain either way tbh but if its for a proper customised Map then there's no question for me. I wouldn't out one of those boxes on a car for more than a couple of months. If its a long teem thing spend the little bit more

Generic map hes designed for a Z17DTH Corsa but it will be tweaked for my car as required and ran on rollers to fine tune.

Proper map may be best here
