Remapping. Risky? Your thoughts?

didn't tell the tester it had no DPF and he didn't comment on it not being there because visually it's housing is still where it should be, it's just the innards that are not present any more.
I've heard there is a new test comming in to test the DPF for pressence and efect, at the moment its only a vicual test for pressence or damage.

crushed with their precious ?

those who are aware of crimes against children will soon be obliged to report them (unfortunately only those professionally concerned - so priests are ok)

I’m really sorry, and I don’t mean to be rude/offensive, but are you always high or something?

I literally never understand what your posts mean

Polestar is Volvo's own in house tuning arm, if it were to put excessive amounts of negative strain on the drivetrain they wouldn't offer it.

Clutches do wear though so worst case scenario it will highlight an already worn clutch

I didn't say excessive, I said extra.

Extra load on the parts are still extra load on the parts, especially of the car's age.

Although in all likelihood is that it has lost some power over the years and this will just bring it up near where it was.

I make up for my stage 1 remap by driving like a 100 year old person most of the time :p

Also everyone who doesn't drive like a old man and red lines every gear is a bad person. Also every person who changes their car every year, every person that has more than one car, every person that takes their kids to school in a car when they could walk.

We are all sinners.

Younger me, mod and remap the hell out of it.

Older me just doesn’t want the headache of insurance declarations, reliability, resale issues etc.

burned at the stake was proposed , so in that context (with lord of rings reference)
crushed with their precious ?

the cars without the dpf are polltuing so would be killing children, so if you follow the UK news (and dig on new legislation)

those who are aware of crimes against children will soon be obliged to report them (unfortunately only those professionally concerned - so priests are ok)

It's still being proposed. They will test for nox and particulates. They want to add in stuff for EVs as well, like checking the integrity of batteries

I'm like Jesus then.

I drive like a grandad (these days) keep my cars until they die, can't walk the kids to school.

Hell, my house even has solar panels. I don't work as a car salesman for a living.

I feel great.

I'm off the celebrate by sacrificing some whores in the name of the lord. Now where did I leave my favourite cleaver....

I wouldn't dare it on a VAG with the DSG. I actually broke my new gearbox after 8000 km's on my Cupra, it's barely able to cope with the stock power let alone remapped, plus the hybrid version is very complicated with 2 clutches for the 1.4 tsi and a third clutch for the electric motor :(.

I was tempted as the 1.4 tsi could be mapped to 180 bhp instead of 150, which would make a total of 275 bhp, but I spared myself the headache. If i'd have to pay for a new gearbox because of mapping I'd be ******, now after a lot of hassle they replaced it under warranty.
