Got given a ReMarkable 2 tablet through work last week. Anyone else using one?

Found it really quite handy so far.

Between meetings / con calls and stuff I have found myself going through an 80 page notebook once a month - hoping this will put an end to trying to look back through past notebooks when something pops up!

I don't have one but I've looked into them, they look really good but I suspect the real value of these things are software features - specifically handwriting to text. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts of how well it translates handwriting into text.

I'm interested in them also. I've watched several reviews but I struggle to get past the fact I feel like they're about double the price they should be.

Spending £500+ on an e-ink tablet (with a case) seems excessive to me, however I imagined prices might have dropped by now so perhaps I'm wrong.

Adverts were popping up on my Facebook feed for months about them and I thought the same - they are a lot of money. Not sure yet I would have bought one personally either!

I do like that there are 63 backgrounds to choose from to represent different paper types - lined, squared etc.

I also like the layering system as well. Not yet tried to convert writing to text - based on my background I tend to write in block caps and just use bigger block caps for capital letters.

I’ll update as I get more used to it!

My other half tried the reMarkable 1. She couldn't find a way of getting the notes off it to use in apps like word very easily. I think the only way was to email text.

Strangely the price hasn't come down much at all - what is also weird is it is the same numerical value bought in GBP or euros.

Into the 3rd week and I am finding it really convenient - the convert to text is as good as the quality of my writing - if I am scribbling fast then it throws up some issues but otherwise is great. I got the pen with the eraser on the top which makes it much simpler. The feel of writing isn't to me pen and paper but is nice and feels natural.

Not tried exporting or e-mailing yet - still mostly just replacing my notebook. Will give it a go this week and update.
