Remasters: A blessing or a curse, for next gen consoles?
We've already had a fair few remasters for 'Next Gen' consoles, with studios using resources to remaster last generation games, do you wish they would instead have them focus on fresh new games for a new experience, or do you like playing you old favourites with better graphics etc?
My opinion, I enjoyed playing the Last of Us on PS4, the improved graphics and extra FPS did make that an experience worth playing again imho, but the upcoming God of War remaster and Gears of War are less impressive to me, and feel more like a cash in (It's quicker to re use and re sell old code than it is to create and develop something new) Now there's rumours that Arkham Aslylum / City are getting the remaster treatment..
I feel that now we're a couple of years into the new generation I would like to see some truly new experiences, rather than put resources into remastering old games.
