The photographers who chased Diana the Princess of Wales on the journey in which she died have been fined 68p.

The sum was dished out by a Paris appeals court for invasion of privacy.

The maximum is £1000 (iirc) for that particular type of action, which is very particular to Parisian courts.

In general, the amount is almost always symbolic.

And the something in question is Invasion of Privacy, specifically taking pictures after the car had crashed. This has nothing to do with what caused the car to crash and tbh it really isn't news at all.
