Remember this game ?

Im trying to remember the name of a computer game for the PC. I think there was about 4 or 5 versions of the games, It was a space flight game with a battle between an alliance good guy type and some ugly alien types.

In the later versions of the game it had some huge video cut scene with some semi famous actor types in it. Really going to annoy me but i cant remember the name. We are probably talking mid to late 90's

Thats the boy ! Awesome game, Thanks for the quick responses. Your right about the actors being more than Semi Famous, just couldnt remember who was in it and didnt wanna be saying famous people in case i was wrong.

Wing Commander 1 was the 1st game i ever remember completing properly. It was awesome, dont think ive ever enjoyed a game as much since. My 1st love so to speak hehe.

What would be a modern day game with a similar game play ?
