Remembered an old game...

Decent 1 !!! The name came to me last night and I found a free download of it

It is actually still brilliant, played for a good hour until my dos-box window thing died .

This came out when I was 8 I think? Excellent game, give it a go!

Anyone else found any properly old games they still like?

I prefer Descent: Freespace 2 which I think is probably in the top 5 of all space sim games out there.

You can buy updated versions (i.e. runs on Windows 7) from www.gog.com it has Descent 1+2 for $5.99 (so £4.50?).

lol, was trying to figure out what game it was until I realised "Decent 1" was it. The story of a decent chap who gives his mates lifts and doesn't ask for petrol money. Epic game.

Descent 1 is rather good, might check out Freespace once I get bored of this again. I'm just surprised how playable it is, if I could redo the texture files or something it wouldn't look half bad either.
