Reminders - syncing without iCloud?

I have an iPod touch which I use as my camera, notepad, alarm clock etc.

I use the Reminders app a LOT.

I've just got an iPhone 4S from work and I'd like to basically replace my iPod touch with it, but to do so, I need to import my Reminders list.

The problem is that the work phone is registered to an iCloud account that I don't have access to and it seems that iCloud is the ONLY way to copy or share Reminders.

Here is what I have tried:

1) Upload Reminders list to iCloud and share with my work iCloud account. This doesn't work because I need to be able to log in with my work iCloud account, which I don't have access to.

2) CopyTrans - I've not got much further with this. I can export all my Reminders from my iPod to ics files but I have no way of copying or importing them onto the iPhone without having access to the work iCloud account...

I think my major stumbling block is that Reminders cannot sync with a GMail account, which contacts, notes and calendar will. This at least allows me to sync my calendars and notes between devices without needing to use iCloud.

Any ideas?

I think my only option is sharing via iCloud and ask my IT department to log in and get the reminders sharing working. I don't think they will mind, but it's just a bit of a pain.

Argh, this is frustrating...

After reading about AwesomeNote, its Reminders synchronisation and its Google Drive synchronisation, I thought I'd nailed it.

Sadly, it seems to only synchronise NOTES to Google Drive, not the To-Do lists.

I'm still stuck with looking at my reminders on my iPod, albeit in AwesomeNote and not being able to copy or sync them with my iPhone.

The search continues...

Thought I had it nailed with Tasket...

This is potentially a great sync tool between GMail Tasks and iOS Reminders, but it seems to only work with one list.

I've also tried Outlook, but the same problem exists - only one list.

You can add the iCloud account from your iPod onto your iPhone and then change the list in each Reminder to your work one?
Looks like it can only be done individually which might be laborious if you have loads but it does work.

In fact why don't you just add your personal iCloud account as a normal account and you'll be able to turn Reminders on.

As far as I can tell, you can only have one iCloud account per device, so I can't add my personal iCloud account to my work phone.

Since I don't have access to my work's iCloud account, I can't give permission to share with my personal iCloud Reminders.

Luckily, my IT department were cool and simply "OK"ed the sharing of my Reminders list from their side, so I'm all sorted now.

What a pain! Oh for a simple export to file and import to device...

You can add another iCloud account no problem, you just add it as if you are adding any other email account.
You can only use one iCloud account as a default account that enables things like find my iPhone, photo stream, etc. The secondary iCloud account will simply have Mail, Contact, Calendars, Reminders and Notes I think. I use my personal iCloud as default and I have a secondary one for Family that I use for contact and calendar.

But at least you got it sorted in the end.
