I was just looking for some tips really on a good reliable remote setup i could use to access my machine from anywhere.
I have a logmein account and i have used team viewer many times as well but i cant help but think a 3rd party tool is not 100% safe i may well be wrong though. Im no network guru by any means, i have a billion 7800n router and i have been reading a lot about vpn's and how they work etc and i feel im understanding it slowly.
Would a vpn connection to my machine be the safest way to remote to it from any machine or even my iphone? If my router supports it i have no idea how i would set it up and would be really grateful for some advice
