i have never used this before but i have a bit of spare time soi thought i would try linking to my bros comp throgh it (mainly for learning) but i dont know how to send invitations, it has to be for remote assistance as my bro has xp home
thanks :D

Its dead easy to use. In the main messenger window expand it so u have the tabs at the top. Click actions and its near the bottom of that one. Doesn't always connect 1st time and is a bit sluggish at moving around.

Just make sure neither of you are upload/downloading anything at the time. Also i think both comps need to have sp2 in.

Just remember when you make a connection, easiest thing to do is to connect using your Brothers username and password. I normally use this when im at work, to do things on my home computer.

That is remote desktop not Remote Assistance.

Right click 'My Computer' then click the Remote tab. Check that 'Allow remote assistance' is enabled.

Ensure firewalls are configured to allow requests!

Click Start, then Remote Assistance. Then chose 'Invite someone to help you'.
Choose the method to connect from the list.

4 methods on a lan.
MSN
Email
Save as a file (then get it to the other user some how).
Direct (not shown in the list).
