remote assistance

A friend connected me to Remote Assistance to sort a few things out and later on when he restarted his pc i recieved this message while trying to reconnect with his pc

remote assistance connection could not be established because the remote host name could not be resolved. please try again

Anyone know what the problem is?

Yeah, most likely he is using a Dynamic IP address and it gets renewed when he restarts.

Is there any other software that i could use that are similiar to Remote assistance and not have problems if it were a dynamic ip?

logmein.com

it will solve all your problems. although it does require you to login to each machine and install the software, but once thats done they can be connected to anywhere, through any firewall or anything
