I use a remote server to run a database application that uses a GSM modem connected by USB. However my server hosts don't allow for hardware to be connected to their servers.
So what i was thinking is to have the USB device connected to the office server and linked remotely to the remote server, presumably by IP address to create a 'virtual' COM port on the remote Server. Its a VPS btw.
Could anyone recommend an application that can do this? Does not necessarily have to be freeware.
